I have always been driven by a desire to serve my country, and that sense of purpose took on a clear direction the first time I watched an aircraft lift off the runway and disappear into the sky, sparking a realization that aviation combined everything I valued: precision, discipline, and being part of something larger than myself; that moment set me on a path toward flying, which led me into the United States Air Force where I began my career as a crew chief working on large aircraft, gaining a deep appreciation for the complexity of aviation and the teamwork required to execute missions safely, while reinforcing my goal of transitioning from maintaining aircraft to operating them; I later moved into unmanned aviation flying the MQ 9, where I developed strong decision making skills, situational awareness, and crew coordination in dynamic, high pressure environments supporting real world operations, and after gaining that operational experience I became an instructor pilot, training Air Force crews on the MQ 9, which sharpened my ability to communicate complex concepts clearly, strengthened my leadership and accountability, and allowed me to mentor other pilots into confident and capable operators; alongside my military experience, I have also served as a patrol pilot with the North Carolina Forest Service supporting wildfire response, working closely with ground crews and agencies to protect lives and property, further building my ability to operate effectively in challenging conditions while staying mission focused, and throughout every stage of my career I have remained committed to service, teamwork, and continuous improvement as I prepare to transition into the next phase of my aviation career.

Education

Embry Riddle
BS Aeronautics September 7, 2009 - May 17, 2013 From 2009 to 2013, I attended Embry Riddle Aeronautical University Worldwide, where I earned a degree in Aeronautics and graduated with a 3.0 GPA while balancing military responsibilities, an experience that required discipline and strong self motivation; through the program I built a solid foundation in aerodynamics, weather, navigation, aircraft systems, and aviation safety, learning not just the theory but how to apply it in real world situations by connecting coursework directly to my experience on the flightline, which strengthened my understanding of aircraft performance, decision making, and risk management and ultimately gave me a practical and academic base that continues to support my growth as a pilot.
Melbourne Flight Academy
Commercial Multi Engine December 20, 2024 - January 1, 2024 I completed my multi engine training with a focus on building a strong understanding of asymmetric thrust, aircraft performance, and systems management, while developing the ability to operate safely and efficiently in higher workload environments; this training emphasized single engine operations, emergency procedures, and precise aircraft control, reinforcing disciplined decision making and checklist usage, and I approached it with the mindset of not just passing a checkride but becoming a confident and reliable multi engine pilot; in addition, I completed the ATP Certification Training Program, which expanded my knowledge of high altitude aerodynamics, turbine aircraft systems, and advanced crew resource management, and I have successfully completed the ATP written exam, further demonstrating my commitment to progressing toward the next level of professional aviation.

Work Experience

Crew Chief
USAF February 6, 2007 - March 26, 2010 From 2007 to 2010, I served in the United States Air Force as a crew chief on large aircraft, where I was responsible for the maintenance, inspection, and overall readiness of the C5 Galaxy. In this role, I developed a strong attention to detail and a deep understanding of aircraft systems while working in fast paced, high pressure environments where safety and precision were critical, and I was accountable for ensuring each aircraft was fully mission capable, coordinating closely with pilots and maintenance teams to troubleshoot issues, perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and prepare the aircraft for flight; this experience taught me the importance of accountability, discipline, and teamwork, while also giving me valuable insight into how pilots operate and make decisions, ultimately shaping my foundation in aviation and reinforcing my desire to transition into a flying role.
Pilot In Command 4 Instructor
General Atomics July 3, 2023 - January 6, 2014 I continued my aviation career with General Atomics, where I served as an MQ 9 pilot supporting a wide range of operations and deployments around the world, gaining experience in dynamic environments that required strong situational awareness, adaptability, and disciplined decision making; operating the MQ 9 demanded precise coordination with crews and mission elements while executing complex tasks in real world scenarios, and through these experiences I developed a high level of confidence managing workload and maintaining mission focus under pressure; in addition to operational flying, I took on a significant role in training and mentoring new pilots, helping them transition into the platform by breaking down complex concepts into practical, understandable techniques while reinforcing safety, standardization, and crew coordination; I also assisted my training manager with scheduling, evaluations, and ensuring training objectives were met, contributing to the overall effectiveness and readiness of the team, and this combination of operational experience, instruction, and leadership allowed me to grow not only as a pilot but as a reliable and trusted member of the organization.
Tactical Pilot
NC Forest Service January 5, 2026 - July 1, 2024 In addition to my military and contract aviation experience, I have served as a patrol pilot with the North Carolina Forest Service, supporting wildfire detection and response operations across the state; in this role, I conduct aerial reconnaissance to identify hotspots, assess fire behavior, and relay critical real time information to ground crews and incident commanders, operating in dynamic environments that require strong situational awareness, communication, and precision flying; the mission often involves low altitude operations, coordination with multiple agencies, and adapting quickly to changing conditions to help protect lives, property, and natural resources, and this experience has strengthened my ability to remain calm under pressure while contributing effectively as part of a larger team focused on public safety.
