I’m originally from Germany, where my passion for aviation began. I moved to the U.S. specifically for professional helicopter flight training, which launched a successful career where I’ve accumulated over 4,800 accident and incident free flight hours. My background is heavily rooted in Part 135 operations, where I developed a strong foundation multi-crew environments as both PIC and SIC, along with a high standard for customer service. I’m now seeking a new challenge in the airplane world, bringing with me a Jet type rating, an unrestricted ATP AMEL, and a trilingual background in English, German, and Spanish. I’m looking to leverage my extensive turbine and multi-crew experience to provide safe, and professional services.

Work Experience

First Officer in Training
SkyWest Airlines 06/10/2024 - 08/05/2024 Completed ERJ-175 initial ground training and maneuver training for Part 121 Operations. Participated in LOFT scenarios and gained valuable experience in maneuvers, cockpit management, and CRM. Involuntary separation I did not complete the initial First Officer training at SkyWest Airlines. I successfully completed the ground school and the maneuver validation. However, I plateaued during the LOFT phase as I was repeatedly not reconnecting the approach after an arrival change. In retrospect, I recognized that inadequate rest played a significant role in my performance plateau. I was staying up late reviewing material and not allowing myself sufficient recovery time, which affected my cognitive sharpness and decision-making in the simulator. Additionally, I did not have a consistent sim partner at the time, which limited my ability to rehearse flows and CRM scenarios effectively. Since that experience, during my A320 type rating course I had made substantial adjustments to my preparation and daily routine, I implemented a structured rest schedule, going to bed early and avoiding screen time after 9pm to ensure full rest before each training day. I also prioritized establishing a strong partnership with my sim partner, which significantly improved my proficiency, CRM communication, and overall performance. These changes made a noticeable difference, and I successfully completed the type rating checkride. My examiner was really impressed with my performance and even offered me a great letter of recommendation. No FAA disapproval or checkride failure occurred.
