Good day, my name is Ethan Travers and I am a professional pilot. I have been flying for about six years now. My journey flying started with my grandpa teaching me how to fly gliders at 16 years of age. I knew I didn’t want to sit at a desk behind a computer screen my whole life so I decided to pursue the beautiful views from the sky instead. Since, I have gone to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and graduated summa cum laude with my bachelors of Aeronautical Science in three years. I am proud of this accomplishment and have taken on the next challenge of giving back to the aviation community as a flight instructor at the United States Air Force Academy Flight Training Center. This opportunity has provided me with an excellent base to grow, develop, and hone my skills as a pilot and teacher. I am ready and look forward to the next step to propel my knowledge, safety, proficiency, and skill.

Soloing my first student
June 10, 2026 Although I had endorsed two other students to solo this was my very first time giving him his first solo endorsement. This was a big deal for me because I take pride in the training that I give to my students. Each time they fly I want to instill safety, confidence, understanding, and proficiency into their flight habits.
