My background includes turbine experience, disciplined airmanship, and a strong respect for the operational demands of AMEL & ASEL. From an early age, I have been a curious learner and consequently gravitated towards instruction early. I’m a proud Cessna-172 Senior CFI/CFII at a Part 61 school, offering accelerated courses in Los Angeles Class B airspace, where precision, professionalism, and safety are key ingredients for our diverse students, from PPL to CFII. As a single mom, I decided to stay local after venturing into Part 135 as a low-time pilot.
Serving in various instructor roles: Senior Life Guard at a Golf Club and Boys & Girls Camp, Fitness Program Leader, and Safety Committee representative for school bus drivers, to homeschooling my 4 daughters independently for nearly 17 years as a teacher and administrator, to now having reached over TT1900 flight hours and TT1100 hours of dual instruction, mostly in CE-172 of various models. I have volunteered many hours to advance aviation in the air and on the ground to foster the next generation of pilots, and have been the grateful recipient of numerous prestigious scholarships and awards.
I have flown Part 135 in the Bombardier Lear 35A in MEDEVAC operations out of Albuquerque, the Bombardier Lear 40XR on domestic, Mexico, and Canada routes, and most recently the King Air 90A for skydivers. Those experiences strengthened my command of turbine aircraft, crew coordination, and sound judgment in high altitude environments as SIC. Currently, I am looking to advance my flying and look forward to the next step in my career as a pilot. Currently, I am confident in my role here in Los Angeles, CA, with our complex learning environment; however, I want to push forward to greater pilot skills and find my place where my skills and background can fulfill a need and role best.
