Position Summary

The Flight Instructor Pilot is responsible for delivering high-quality flight and ground instruction in Robinson helicopter models while maintaining safety, professionalism, and compliance with FAA standards.


Responsibilities
  • Conduct flight and ground instruction in Robinson helicopters
  • Evaluate student performance and provide feedback
  • Maintain accurate training records and documentation
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures
  • Deliver curriculum-based training programs
  • Collaborate with instructors and staff to support training operations
  • Stay current with regulations and industry standards

Requirements
  • 2,000 total helicopter flight hours
  • 1,000 hours of flight instruction given
  • 800 hours in Robinson helicopters (R22, R44, R66)
  • Commercial Rotorcraft Certificate
  • CFI and CFII (Helicopter)
  • SFAR 73 Instructor endorsement (R22/R44)
  • Current FAA Medical (1st or 2nd Class)
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations (Part 61/91/135)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual (Spanish or other language)
  • A&P Certificate
  • Strong instructional and communication skills
