Position Summary
The 737 Instructor Pilot is responsible for providing instruction and operational expertise on Boeing 737NG aircraft while ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant flight operations. This is a part-time role requiring approximately ten flying days per month.
Responsibilities
• Provide instruction and subject matter expertise on B737NG operations
• Serve as Pilot-in-Command when required
• Assist with flight planning, weather analysis, and performance calculations
• Ensure compliance with FAA and operational regulations
• Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections
• Coordinate with ATC, dispatch, and ground crews
• Maintain aircraft currency and operational proficiency
• Adhere to company safety protocols and procedures
Requirements
• Boeing 737NG Type Rating
• ATP Certificate (or CPL with military exception)
• Multi-Engine Rating
• MEI and CFII Certifications
• 2,500 Total Flight Hours (1,500 military exception)
• 500 Turbojet Hours
• 300 PIC B737NG Hours
• 500 PIC Jet Time (within last 3 years)
• 350 Turbine Instructor or Check Pilot Hours
• 250 Night Hours
• 75 Instrument Hours (50 actual)
• Second Class Medical
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree
• Prior military instructor pilot experience
