About the Company
Since 2003, Western Air Flight Academy has been providing flight students in the Denver area with flight training and aircraft rental services. The academy operates multiple locations and offers access to a large fleet of aircraft, with a focus on training pilots and supporting long-term aviation development.
Position Summary
The Flight Instructor conducts flight training in accordance with an approved syllabus, ensuring high standards of safety and compliance with FAA regulations and company procedures.
Responsibilities
- Conduct flight instruction per approved training syllabus
- Maintain proficiency in aircraft used for instruction
- Adhere to FAA regulations and company policies
- Improve aeronautical knowledge and flying skills
- Arrive prepared and on time for student lessons
- Promote company events, products, and services
- Provide customer service and respond to communications
- Attend monthly CFI meetings
- Complete annual CFI checkout
- Adhere to company policies and standards
- Proper use of scheduling system
Requirements
- Resume and cover letter
- Up to date flight times
- Copy of Pilot and Instructor Certificates and most recent medical
- Personal objectives
- Two references
- Must pass background checks
- Interview with Chief Pilot or Assistant Chief Pilot
- Interview with Club Owners
- Standardization checkout
Compensation
- Compensation will vary based upon experience
Location
Aspen Flying Club at Centennial Airport (KAPA) or Western Air Flight Academy at Rocky Mountain Metro Airport (KBJC)
