Description

Position Summary

The Instructor of Flight Instructors is responsible for training and mentoring Certified Flight Instructor applicants while maintaining the highest standards of safety, instructional quality, and professionalism. This position supports the development of future flight instructors through structured training programs and ongoing instructional oversight.


Responsibilities

• Train and mentor CFI applicants
• Provide flight and ground instruction to instructor candidates
• Evaluate instructor candidate performance and progress
• Maintain training quality and safety standards
• Support instructor standardization and development programs
• Promote safe flying practices and risk management


Requirements

• Minimum 18 years old
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• High School Diploma or GED
• Current FAA Medical Certificate
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
• FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate or ATP Certificate
• Safe driving record
• Safe flying record
• Two years of flight instructing experience
• 200 hours dual instruction given


Preferred Qualifications

• FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)
• FAA Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII)
