Description

Position Summary

Seeking Airplane Flight Instructors to provide flight and ground instruction while supporting student success in a professional training environment. This position offers the opportunity to build flight time in a diverse fleet while training students in the Pacific Northwest.


Responsibilities

• Perform flight instructor duties in accordance with FAA regulations and approved training course outlines
• Support and promote the Safety Management System (SMS) and company SOPs
• Maintain satisfactory student progress and communicate training delays when necessary
• Maintain accurate student training records and documentation
• Attend weekly meetings and instructor development sessions
• Determine aircraft airworthiness prior to flight operations
• Apply effective teaching and evaluation techniques
• Reconcile billable hour reports for payroll purposes
• Communicate with prospective students regarding flight training opportunities
• Assist with operational duties including fueling aircraft and driving company vehicles as needed


Requirements

• FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) Certificate
• FAA Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFII) Certificate
• Valid FAA Class II Medical Certificate
• Knowledge of FAA regulations and instructional techniques
• Strong communication and teaching skills
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work a minimum of six days per week based on student scheduling requirements


Preferred Qualifications

• Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) Certificate
• Dual instruction experience in Cessna aircraft
• Dual instruction experience in Piper Seminoles
• Multi-cultural experience
