The school provides consistent flight activity, allowing full-time instructors to build 800–1200 hours per year, with strong connections to local Part 135 operators for future career opportunities.

Position Summary

The Flight Instructor (Fixed Wing or Helicopter) provides flight and ground instruction to students in a high-activity training environment. This role is ideal for instructors looking to build hours quickly while developing students across various certification levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide flight and ground instruction for fixed wing and/or helicopter students
• Ensure all training is conducted safely and in compliance with FAA regulations
• Support student progression through various certifications and ratings
• Maintain accurate training records and student progress
• Deliver high-quality instruction while building flight hours (800–1200 annually)

Requirements

• Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) – Fixed Wing and/or Helicopter
• Minimum 350 total flight hours (fixed wing)
• Helicopter instructors must meet SFAR 73 requirements (R-22 endorsement)
• Strong communication and instructional skills
• Commitment to safety and professionalism

Preferred Qualifications

• MEI and/or Helicopter CFI (H/CFI)
• Experience in PA28, PA23, or Mooney aircraft
