Position Summary

The Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) is responsible for delivering high-quality flight and ground instruction in a Part 61 environment while helping students progress through training and build foundational aviation skills. This role is ideal for pilots building time toward airline or corporate careers.


Responsibilities
  • Conduct flight and ground instruction for students
  • Prepare students for solo flights and checkrides
  • Maintain training records and documentation
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs, FAA regulations, and safety standards
  • Provide mentorship and support to student pilots
  • Maintain a professional and structured training environment

Requirements
  • CFI / CFII (ASEL)
  • Second Class Medical
  • 500 hours dual given or 1 year of CFI experience
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and ACS standards
  • Valid U.S. passport and driver’s license
  • Must pass background check and drug testing
  • No incidents or violations within last 5 years
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must live within 1 hour of Georgetown, SC

Preferred Qualifications
  • MEI
  • ASES rating
  • Aviation degree
  • Safety Management System experience
  • A&P certificate
  • Military background
