About the Company
Tropic Ocean Airways is the largest seaplane operator in the Southeast United States, operating Cessna Grand Caravan EX aircraft on amphibious floats throughout The Bahamas, the Caribbean, and New York.
Position Summary
The Seaplane Second-in-Command (SIC) supports flight operations in an amphibious environment, assisting the PIC while ensuring safety, compliance, and efficient passenger transport.
Responsibilities
• Assist the Pilot in Command during all phases of flight
• Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections
• Support flight planning and operational coordination
• Maintain compliance with FAA regulations and company procedures
• Assist with safe passenger transport across assigned regions
• Adapt to various operating locations as required
Requirements
• FAA Commercial ASEL with Instrument Rating
• FAA Commercial ASES
• FAA High Performance and Complex endorsements
• FCC Radio Operator Permit
• Second Class Medical Certificate
• 250 Total Flight Hours
Preferred Qualifications
• G1000 Experience
• Seaplane Time
• Turbine Time
• Cessna 208 Experience
