Description
Position Summary
The Second in Command (SIC) is responsible for assisting in the safe and efficient transportation of passengers and cargo while operating the CASA 212 in accordance with Part 135 regulations and company procedures. This position supports flight operations by assisting with flight planning, weather analysis, aircraft inspections, and loading operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service.
Responsibilities
• Assist with the safe transportation of passengers and cargo
• Operate the CASA 212 in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures
• Analyze flight plans and weather conditions
• Calculate fuel requirements
• Inspect aircraft operational systems and navigation equipment
• Assist ground crews with loading and unloading aircraft
• Maintain the highest standards of safety and customer service
Requirements
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Commercial Pilot Certificate – Airplane Multi-Engine Land
• Instrument Rating
• English Proficient endorsement
• FAA Second Class Medical Certificate
• Minimum 250 Hours Total Flight Time
• Valid Driver’s License
• Valid U.S. Passport (or approved equivalent)
• No FAA Certificate Action within the previous 24 months
• Ability to pass TSA background check
• Ability to pass DOT/FAA pre-employment drug test
• Ability to lift 70–100 pounds
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work a two weeks on / two weeks off schedule
• Ability to live in company-provided housing at rural stations
