Description

Position Summary

The First Officer supports the Captain by ensuring the safe and timely operation of company aircraft. This role assists with flight planning, aircraft operations, passenger service, regulatory compliance, and maintaining reliable flight operations.


Responsibilities

• Assist the Captain with flight planning using weather information and operational reports
• Determine aircraft airworthiness through required preflight inspections
• Ensure flights are properly planned and fueled
• Safely operate the aircraft in accordance with Captain instructions, company procedures, and regulations
• Maintain knowledge of aircraft systems, regulations, manuals, and operating procedures
• Notify crew and passengers of weather and operational factors affecting the flight
• Complete load manifests for assigned flights
• Support on-time departures and operational reliability
• Assist with handling aircraft, passengers, baggage, and cargo
• Maintain professional appearance and adherence to company policies
• Participate in ongoing professional training and development
• Perform additional duties as assigned


Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must meet minimum requirements for an ATP or RATP Certificate
• Must meet FAA and company minimum age and flight hour requirements
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand technical procedures and government regulations
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Ability to solve problems and react appropriately during emergency situations
• Ability to lift or move up to 75 pounds
• Ability to meet FAA medical standards
• Ability to work varied schedules including mornings, nights, weekends, overnights, and holidays
• Ability to travel up to 100% of the time
• Willingness to relocate based on operational needs


Preferred Qualifications

• ATP Written completed
• Prior customer service experience
• Aviation industry customer service experience
