Description
Position Summary
The Pilot in Command (PIC) is responsible for safely transporting passengers and cargo while operating the Cessna 208 in accordance with Part 135 regulations and company procedures. This position ensures safe flight operations by evaluating flight plans, weather conditions, aircraft performance, and operational readiness while supporting ground operations and delivering excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
• Safely transport passengers and cargo on company aircraft
• Operate the Cessna 208 in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures
• Determine the safest flight routes based on weather and operational conditions
• Analyze flight plans and weather information
• Calculate fuel requirements
• Perform aircraft operational system and navigation equipment inspections
• Assist ground crews with loading and unloading aircraft
• Maintain the highest standards of safety and customer service
Requirements
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Commercial Pilot Certificate – Airplane Multi-Engine Land
• Instrument Rating
• English Proficient endorsement
• FAA Second Class Medical Certificate
• Minimum 1,200 Hours Total Flight Time
• Meet additional FAR Part 135.243(b) qualifications
• Valid Driver’s License
• Valid U.S. Passport (or approved equivalent)
• No FAA Certificate Action within the required regulatory timeframe
• Ability to pass TSA background check
• Ability to pass DOT/FAA pre-employment drug test
• Ability to lift 70–100 pounds
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work a two weeks on / two weeks off schedule
• Ability to live in company-provided housing at rural stations
