Description

Position Summary
The FW Line Instructor I provides flight, simulator, and ground instruction in accordance with 14 CFR Parts 61 and 141, Federal Aviation Regulations, Airmen’s Information Manual, advisory circulars, airport operational requirements, and university policies. This position schedules students, maintains training records, and ensures students successfully meet course standards, training requirements, and learning objectives.

Responsibilities
• Provide flight, simulator, and ground instruction in accordance with the approved Training Course Outline
• Manage training schedules for assigned students
• Attend instructor and student meetings as assigned
• Maintain accurate student training and program records
• Ensure students understand and follow all aspects of the Safety Program
• Perform additional duties as assigned


Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 250 hours total flight time
• FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) Certificate
• Current FAA First or Second Class Medical Certificate
• Demonstrated aircraft piloting skills and proficiency in required flight maneuvers and procedures
• Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and applicable operational procedures
• Ability to apply effective instructional techniques in classroom and flight training environments
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while exercising sound judgment
• Maintain an 80% pass rate for final reviews and stage checks


Preferred Qualifications
• Bravo airspace experience
• Density altitude flying above 5,000 feet
