Description

Position Summary
The Pilot is responsible for safely conducting fixed-wing air medical transport missions while maintaining aircraft readiness, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. The role works closely with medical crews, dispatch personnel, and healthcare partners to provide safe, efficient, and professional patient transport services.


Responsibilities
• Safely transport patients and medical crews between medical facilities
• Maintain aircraft mission readiness in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures
• Ensure aircraft cleanliness and operational readiness
• Maintain accurate flight records, load manifests, shift logs, and regulatory documentation
• Communicate effectively with air and ground dispatch, flight crews, and healthcare partners
• Conduct comprehensive shift-change briefings with incoming pilots
• Maintain required certifications and complete recurrent ground and flight training
• Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to safety


Requirements
• FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate – Airplane Multi-Engine Land (AMEL)
• Current FAA First or Second Class Medical Certificate
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to provide complete pilot logbooks documenting flight experience
• 2,500 hours Total Flight Time
• 1,000 hours Pilot-in-Command
• 500 hours Cross-Country Flight Time
• 100 hours Night Flight Time
• 75 hours Instrument Flight Time, including 50 hours actual instrument
• Ability to work day, night, overnight, and rotating 15-on/15-off schedules
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
• Ability to perform aircraft de-icing, towing, and hangar operations


Preferred Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED
• Higher education
• Single-pilot IFR experience
• Previous air medical experience
• Previous cargo flying experience
