Description
Position Summary
The Manager, Captain serves as Pilot-in-Command and is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of company aircraft. This position leads flight crews, oversees flight coordination and safety, supports executive passenger transportation, and ensures all operations are conducted in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
• Serve as Pilot-in-Command and supervise assigned flight crews
• Command assigned aircraft and oversee flight coordination, maintenance, and safety concerns
• Operate in accordance with the Flight Operations Manual and company procedures
• Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and international regulations
• Assess weather and airspace conditions with the Second-in-Command
• Make operational decisions regarding risk mitigation, delays, and rerouting
• Coordinate logistical arrangements when flight schedules change
• Ensure executive passenger needs are met
• Complete risk assessments and required flight documentation
• Brief flight crews on mission requirements
• Conduct preflight inspections
• Verify airports and routes meet operational standards
• Oversee food and beverage safety with the Flight Attendant
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree with equivalent FAR Part 91 flight operations experience
• Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate
• Type Rating as Pilot-in-Command on each assigned company aircraft
• Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA First Class Medical Certificate
• 7+ years domestic and international Pilot-in-Command experience in corporate or commercial aviation
• 7+ years experience on aircraft types operated by the company or equivalent
• 4,000+ hours total flight time
• 1,500+ hours multi-engine turbojet time
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft operations and advanced aircraft systems
• Familiarity with FAA Part 91 regulations
• Familiarity with ICAO Annexes
• Knowledge of Safety Management System (SMS) processes
• Proficiency with aircraft scheduling software, mobile technology, Microsoft Office Suite, and iPad applications
• Strong leadership, management, and mentorship skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
