Description

Position Summary

Seeking a Fixed Wing Pilot to operate a Pilatus PC-12 in IFR air medical operations based in Yakima, Washington. This position is responsible for safely transporting medical crews and patients while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, company procedures, and operational standards in a 24/7 air ambulance environment.


Responsibilities

• Operate company aircraft in a safe and legal manner
• Conduct thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspections
• Verify aircraft airworthiness before every flight
• Maintain final authority for the safety of passengers, cargo, and equipment
• Complete all required operational documentation
• Perform detailed flight planning with minimal notice
• Ensure familiarity with assigned and backup aircraft systems
• Support medical crews with operational readiness and aircraft systems knowledge
• Participate in company meetings, projects, committees, and community outreach activities
• Comply with FAA regulations, Air Methods policies, and operational procedures
• Perform additional duties as assigned


Requirements

• Associate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2,500 Total Flight Hours
• 2,000 Hours in Category
• 1,000 Hours PIC in Category
• 500 Hours Cross Country Time (including 50 hours at night)
• 500 Hours Turbine Time
• 100 Hours Night Flight Time
• 100 Hours Actual Instrument Time in Category
• Pilots must have flown in category within the previous 24 months
• Commercial Single Engine Land Certificate (required for PC-12 operations)
• Instrument Rating (ATP satisfies requirement)
• First or Second Class FAA Medical Certificate
• Maintain weight below 250 pounds
• Must be less than 70 years of age


Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Previous EMS Experience
• Previous Air Medical Experience


Additional Airlift Northwest Requirements

• 2,500 Total Flight Hours
• 2,500 Flight Hours in Category
• 150 Hours Night Flight Time
• 300 Hours Actual Instrument Time in Category
• 50 Hours in Pilatus PC-12

Compensation

• Salary Range: $82,900 – $93,251 annually
• Experience Stipend: Up to $12,000
• Additional $50,000 Stipend
• $15,000 Sign-On Bonus
