I am Walker Kirmis, and I graduated from Lewis University in Dec. of 25′ with a bachelor’s in Aviation Flight Technology. I currently work as an independent contract pilot, flying passengers all across the U.S. in a Cessna 310 and a Baron 58. I also work for Delta Fox Airplane Tours, flying passengers on sightseeing flights along the Chicago skyline. Whenever I have any free time, my passion is instructing students and helping them in their journey, so whenever I have free time, I do independent flight instruction at DuPage Airport. I am eager to progress my career and work in a professional crew environment.

Bachlors August 28, 2022 - December 19, 2025 I graduated from Lewis University in Dec of 25' with a degree in Aviation Flight Technology. At Lewis University's Flight Program I received my instrument rating and commercial SEL as well as MEL. Through my aviation education at Lewis University, I developed a strong understanding of crew resource management, effective communication, teamwork, and professional decision-making. My training emphasized collaboration in multi-crew environments, conflict resolution, situational awareness, and the importance of building positive working relationships.

Delta Fox Airplane Tours - September 25, 2025 I fly passengers along the Chicago skyline for day and night tours.
Contract Pilot
N/A - Present I fly passengers all across the United States as an independent contractor flying a Baron 58 and a Cessna 310. I also fly flight validation and obstacle evaluation flights in the Chicago land area. Being a contract pilot, I have gained valuable experience navigating complex airspace across the United States as well as flying in all types of weather conditions.

April 30, 2026 The day I hit 1000 hours, I never even thought about it or realized I had hit 1000 hours because I was so focused on my work and flying. Not until a few weeks after I hit 1000 hours did I go to total up my hours and realize I had blown past 1000 hours.
