Greetings,

My name is Daniel Mogro. Attached is my resume and experience report for your consideration. Since this document only provides a limited snapshot of who I am, I wanted to briefly introduce myself personally and professionally.

I grew up mechanically inclined and attended an Aviation Maintenance Technician school in South Florida during high school, where I pursued and ultimately obtained my A&P certification. After graduating high school, I felt a strong calling to serve my community and pursued a career in law enforcement. I joined the largest municipal police department in South Florida.

A few years into my law enforcement career, I was presented with the opportunity to join the department’s Aviation Unit. During my time there, I was responsible for overseeing maintenance-related matters involving the agency’s helicopters while also serving as aircrew during airborne law enforcement missions, where Crew Resource Management and operational coordination were critical. After several years in aviation operations, I was promoted to frontline supervisor, where I led officers and supervised daily operations, often mentoring and guiding younger personnel.

After vesting in the department’s pension system, I made the decision to fully pursue my long-term passion for aviation. As of March 2026, I officially retired from the police department and transitioned into aviation full time.

Academically, I hold a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Sciences from Broward College, an Associate of Arts degree from Broward College, and an Associate of Science in Aviation Maintenance Management from Miami Dade College. From a flying standpoint, I currently hold Commercial Pilot privileges with ASEL, ASES, AMEL, and Instrument Airplane ratings, along with CFI, CFII and MEI certificates. I currently have 650 total flight hours and over 360 hours of dual instruction given.

I believe my background brings a unique value beyond flight time alone. My years in law enforcement helped me develop strong communication skills, professionalism under pressure, leadership abilities, and a customer-service mindset that directly translate into professional flight operations. Additionally, my A&P background and factory maintenance training have given me a strong technical understanding of aircraft systems and an attention to detail that I believe benefits cockpit operations significantly.

I am fully willing to relocate to meet a company’s operational needs and would be extremely grateful for any opportunity to join your team. Even if no current opportunity is available, I would sincerely appreciate any guidance or advice on how I can continue developing professionally to one day become a competitive candidate for your operation.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing back from you.

Sincerely,

Daniel Mogro
