Position Summary

The Pilot supports air medical transport operations based in Amarillo, TX. This role involves operating aircraft to transport patients safely while supporting emergency and non-emergency missions on a 14 on / 14 off schedule.


Responsibilities
  • Retain the final authority for the safe operation of the aircraft
  • Ensure aircraft airworthiness and required documentation
  • Make operational decisions regarding flight safety and execution
  • Adhere to Crew Resource Management (CRM) techniques
  • Represent Apollo MedFlight professionally
  • Participate in Safety Management System
  • Conduct flight planning and briefings
  • Ensure compliance with FARs and operational procedures
  • Maintain weight and balance compliance
  • Report FAA violations or incidents
  • Perform aircraft equipment checks
  • Brief crew and passengers
  • Report maintenance discrepancies
  • Maintain knowledge of manuals and regulations
  • Participate in risk assessment process
  • Perform operational control functions

Requirements
  • Current FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate: Airplane multi-engine land, Instrument Airplane
  • Current FAA 2nd Class Medical Certificate
  • 500 hours of multi-engine
  • 1000 hours of PIC time
  • 350 hours of turbine time
  • ATP
  • Previous EMS Experience
  • ATP is required within 5 years of employment
  • Valid Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications
  • 2500 hours total time
  • 700 hours of multi-engine flight time
  • 1200 hours of PIC time
  • 100 hours in type
