Position Summary
The Instructor Pilot supports training operations on Global 6500 aircraft based in Lake Nona, FL. This role delivers simulator and ground instruction, develops pilot proficiency, and ensures adherence to regulatory and training standards.
Responsibilities
- Deliver simulator and ground school training in accordance with regulatory standards and curriculum
- Serve as a subject matter expert guiding clients through training
- Provide instruction for licenses, type ratings, and pilot qualifications
- Conduct pre- and post-flight simulator briefings
- Complete training records and administrative tasks
- Support curriculum and courseware development
- Participate in training programs including international travel
- Maintain a professional training environment
- Maintain documentation in accordance with FAA and company requirements
Requirements
- High School diploma or state-issued equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 3,000+ hours of total flight time.
- 2–5 years of job-relevant experience.
- Previous teaching or training experience preferred.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Must be authorized to live/work in the United States.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and internet-based programs.
- Ability to participate in CAE’s DOT Anti-Drug & Alcohol testing program.
- Hold an unrestricted ATP certificate and one unrestricted PIC type rating
- Excellent fluency in English (spoken and written)
- Strong listening and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing instructor qualification or type rating.
- FAR Part 135 experience.
- Experience on Global 6500 or other relevant business aircraft.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to deliver “red carpet” customer service.
- Ability to tailor training to diverse customer needs.
- Keen attention to detail and strong record-keeping skills.
