Position Summary

The Lead Captain supports flight operations on Citation Sovereign aircraft based in Santa Ana, CA. This role serves as Pilot in Command and is responsible for crew coordination, regulatory compliance, and communication between the flight department and company leadership.

Responsibilities

• Act as Pilot in Command (PIC) or Second in Command (SIC) as designated
• Ensure compliance with flight and maintenance schedules
• Ensure crew compliance with duty and flight time limitations
• Perform pre-flight and post-flight duties and inspections
• Coordinate aircraft readiness and cleanliness
• Manage aircraft inventory
• Monitor crew performance and communicate with leadership
• Approve expense reports and review billing summaries
• Coordinate crew schedules and vacation requests
• Liaise with training and operations leadership
• Maintain training and currency requirements
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements
• Support maintenance coordination and AOG events
• Communicate operational changes and owner requests
• Support flight department operations and reporting
• Participate in hiring and training processes
• Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

• C680 type rating required.
• First Class Medical Required.
• Applicable FAA Part 91 and/or FAA Part 135 requirements for aircraft type assigned.
• ATP certificate required. Must remain current with flight requirements.
• Valid & unexpired Driver’s License
• Valid & unexpired Passport
• Must pass Pre-Employment Drug Screening and Background Check.
• Must live within two (2) hours of KSNA.
